Savennières, Loire Valley
Founded in 1981 by Monique Laroche, now managed by her daughter Tessa, this 12-hectare estate lies near the famed Coulée de Serrant. The vineyards are planted on schist and sandstone soils, ideal for Chenin Blanc. Organically and biodynamically farmed since 2001, the estate produces wines of exceptional purity and terroir expression.
100% Chenin Blanc from the estate's finest plots. Aromas of pear, quince, and lime with remarkable mineral tension. Aged 12 months in oak and 6 months in stainless steel, this wine showcases the unique terroir of Savennières with exceptional balance and complexity.
Young vine Chenin Blanc offering vibrant freshness and immediate appeal. Notes of white flowers and citrus create an expressive, approachable wine. Vin de France designation allows for maximum flexibility in winemaking while maintaining the estate's commitment to quality.
The estate's 12 hectares are meticulously farmed using organic and biodynamic principles. The schist and sandstone soils provide excellent drainage and mineral complexity, while the proximity to the Loire River moderates temperatures throughout the growing season. In the cellar, Tessa Laroche employs a gentle, non-interventionist approach, allowing the terroir to express itself fully.
